Courtney Sabo

Seattle, WA

Courtney is a design generalist, with expertise in product design, growth design, UX, and UI, as well as product management and content strategy. She joined Pine Works as a partner in 2023.

Courtney studied graphic design at Drexel University, where she also let her competitive nature shine, playing four years of Division I varsity squash and leading the team as captain.

She started her career at Happy Cog, the esteemed design and development agency in Philadelphia. She worked for clients including David’s Bridal, Einstein Healthcare, TEDx, and Gore.

Courtney moved to San Francisco to work at Sequence on their Apple account. After Sequence was acquired by Salesforce, she led the major redesign of DentaQuest—DeltaDental’s Medicaid insurance—patient and dentist platforms.

Courtney transitioned to co-founding Kopa, a real estate tech startup. She and her co-founders were accepted into the esteemed Y Combinator program and raised $1M+ in VC investments. She was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 that year.

Wanting to focus more on design, she moved in-house to lead design at Untapped (acquired by Podium Education) and she simultaneously embarked on a three-year journey as a digital nomad, living in 18 countries.
